Dr. Nurez Kassam

After receiving his Veterinary Medical Degree, Dr. Kassam pursued a one year internship at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He also received further post- graduate training at the New England Veterinary Medical Centre, School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University, and in Boston.

Dr. Kassam has been a Veterinarian for over 30 years with vast and extensive experience in all facets of small animal medicine, surgery and dentistry. Over the years he has worked in small and large veterinary hospitals, a university hospital and emergency clinics in Canada and United States of America. Dr. Kassam has attended hundreds of continuing education courses and is licensed in Canada and the United States of America.

Dr. Kassam has owned several veterinary hospitals in Greater Vancouver. Prior to opening Boundary Animal Hospital, Dr. Kassam owned Vetcetera Pet Hospitals located inside Petcetera in Vancouver, Coquitlam and West Vancouver.

Presently Dr. Kassam is the owner and medical director of Boundary Animal Hospital, where Dr. Kassam and his veterinary team provide caring, compassionate pet care in their modern, full service hospital to thousands of clients and their pets.

Teresa Vuong

Teresa graduated from the Veterinary Office and Animal Care Program at Douglas College in 2013.  She has been a part of Boundary Animal Hospital’s team since 2012 when she started as a Veterinary Office Assistant. Teresa’s dedication to providing our clients excellent service is why she was quickly promoted to Office Manager. Her main goal at Boundary is to not only meet but exceed clients’ and their pets’ expectations.

Teresa loves exploring and finding new adventures with her family and friends. Her main hobby is DIY’s off Pinterest. When she isn’t working Teresa spends time woodworking, restoring furniture and gardening. She has a cat named Muffin, and a dog named Pickles. They are both the best of friends and she cannot live without them. Teresa has a big heart and soft spot for all animals.

Tenille Desson

Tenille graduated from the Veterinary Health Assistant program at Center for Arts and Technology in Kelowna BC in June 2011, and has been working at Boundary Animal Hospital since.  She moved to Vancouver from Kelowna where she was born and raised to pursue her career in the animal field. When not working, Tenille is caring for her 2 Maine Coons GC and Simba and her Shepherd Mix, Sophie.

Her family plays a huge roll in her life, and she would not be where she is today if it wasn’t for their love and support.  She recently got married in April 2018 to her high school sweetheart of 12 years, Matt, a BMX stunt rider. The two share an amazing son named Jaxon. He is the light of her day. He is such a goofball and is the best son she could ever ask for.

Naomi Khan

Naomi is a recent member of the Boundary Animal Hospital team. She is currently in her third year at UBC studying Biology while minoring in Kinesiology. She hopes to go to school and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine once finished her bachelor’s degree at UBC. When not going to school or working, Naomi enjoys spending time with friends and family exploring and doing new things. Although she does not own any pets of her own, she loves all animals with hedgehogs and Australian Shepard’s being her favorite.

Natasha Barrow

Natasha has been a member of the Boundary Animal Hospital team since 2016. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from SFU in 2011. Four years later, her love of animals and experience volunteering with animal rescue organizations compelled her to enroll in the Veterinary Assistant Course at Vancouver Career College. She received her diploma in 2016. In her time at Boundary Animal Hospital Natasha has continued to learn and tackle new challenges, eventually taking on the role of Veterinary Technician.

In her spare time Natasha loves spending time with her dog, a cocker spaniel named Tetley, and her orange tabby cat, Gordy. She loves working with the hospital’s patients every day and hopes she can help to make their vet visits enjoyable and positive.
